client lunch meet:
setting – one of the poshest restaurant in the city
attendees - two british (vp), one swedish (legal counsel), one dutch (associate director), one italian (senior relationship manager) and one indian ;)
meeting agenda - intense discussion on the regulation, mechanics and risk involved in issuing retail price index-linked bonds in the european market
on knowing that i am an indian (don’t know what they thought i was before me telling them)
“oh, do you know about the actress from bollywood, who committed suicide, what happened, was she famous…..???”
…and the agenda deviates
phew!
sometimes i am amazed at the reach of bollywood...thanks, it keeps me grounded :)
